Also, this can lead to extreme fatigue, which may make it more likely that you suffer an injury.

During your light workouts, you should focus on mild cardiovascular exercise or work on enhancing flexibility. Both of these are important parts of being fit, and they are the perfect exercise for your light days. 

Myth: Crunches Are The Best Exercise For A Flat Stomach

One of the areas that people most common want to improve is their stomach. Many individuals have a gut that they would like to lose, and they may assume that crunches are the best exercise to reach this goal. However, this is not the case for a couple of reasons. 

As you get tired while doing the crunches, you will be more likely to start relying on your back muscles. This will negate the benefits of these exercises, and they can lead to painful problems with your back. Also, your newly developed stomach muscles will not be visible because of a layer of fat over your stomach. As a result of these two actors, running is often consider one of the best ways to trim your stomach. With each step you take, your stomach muscles will slightly flex, and you will be burning the layer of fat that is causing the problem. 

Getting into good physical shape should be the goal of everyone, but this task can be all but impossible if you believe some common misconceptions. By dispelling the ideas that every day should be a hard workout and that crunches will flatten your stomach, you should be better able to make effective use of your time in the gym.
